Today I was lucky enough to participate in Virgin Atlantic’s first VALUED flight from Heathrow to Atlanta, to mark the start of Black History Month. Virgin Atlantic’s first ever VALUED flight in celebration of Black History Month Wishing solace to those who have lost loved ones and a speedy recovery to the injured. While it may not seem the right time or even within reach in the near future, given the appalling atrocities of the last few days, it’s more important than ever to hope that a peaceful resolution to this conflict finally emerges. It goes without saying that we are constantly evaluating the situation, in partnership with authorities in the UK and in Israel. It remains a very dynamic situation and I’d like to thank our remarkable teams in the air and on the ground who continue to deliver for our customers each day under challenging circumstances. Our second daily flight, VS453/ VS454, will be cancelled for the rest of the Summer season up until 28 October 2023, with full rebooking and refund options available to customers. Currently, we are operating an essential daily service between London and Tel Aviv on VS457/VS458 for our customers, and we will do so as long as it remains safe and our customers need and want to travel. The safety of our people and our customers is our number one priority, always. The devastation in Israel since early Saturday morning is truly harrowing and tragic and our thoughts are with the people of Israel and all those impacted.
